- Debug defects on a bi-weekly sprint basis; defects range from infrastructure Terraform reconfiguration to schema-related changes. Workflow includes updating/writing unit and integration tests as necessary.
- Previously took part in a department-wide epic focused on remediating critical to high vulnerabilities in code, with a personally met deadline for Q2 2024, which strengthened knowledge in dependency management and security best practices.
Software Engineer I — July 2021 - December 2022
- Participated in a rotational program where every 6 months one adapted to a new department, product, and team over a year and a half. Most experience gained was in backend development and DevOps for customer-facing product features.
- Focused on resolving backend and frontend defects within the Vulnerability Management product, including modules like Goals/SLAs and Remediation Projects, with increasing focus on backend development over time.
- DevOps experience included updating Jenkins build jobs using Groovy for a Maven-based pipeline, and using Terraform for cloud service config changes across AWS services including S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, and EC2.
